Boring and passionless, the only thing amazing about this film is that it made me dislike Spider-man. Director Marc Webb gets a few things right, namely the web shooting and swinging, but we also get a Peter Parker that is often stupid and obnoxious, terribly erratic and sluggish pacing, and an under-developed villain; there's just not enough good here to earn a recommendation, and there's certainly enough bad to earn my disdain.
Go see The Avengers again, or save your money for The Dark Knight Rises.

Ted
Flash Gordon, fart jokes, and a silly premise with a sharp truth to it:
the world will get bored of anything. Essentially a stoner-romcom
mashup, we've all seen the notes this film hits before, but Ted
does it with surprising sweetness and a dash of Family Guy style non
sequiturs. Not counting myself among the ravenous Family Guy fans, I
went in with some trepidation, but Ted was the funniest comedy I've seen this year, and earns an easy recommendation.
